A Full Plate

I have a full plate today. Not only is my plate full, but it is overloaded and running over the sides. Yesterday, I spent most of the day waiting on my car for repairs, then running errands.

To make up for the time I lost yesterday, today will be a non-stop working day. My niece and nephew are coming for a visit and will spend the next week with us. I have some projects that need to be completed before they arrive, so that I can spend my time having lazy days and enjoy having children in my garden.

My first project of the day will be preparing my bathroom for painting. The walls are a dull brown. The ceiling has mildew spots. The caulking around the tub needs to be re-enforced before children are splashing around in it.

We have a white storage cabinet, that has water damage to the side closest to the tub. I have decided to repair the damage and move this cabinet to our extra (grand baby) bedroom to prevent further damage. I worked until almost 11:00 p.m. last night trying to clean all the products out of the cabinet and find a place for them.

I will use this cabinet to store toys and grand baby supplies once it is restored.

My goal for today is to get the walls and ceiling washed down with Clorox to kill the mildew, then add a coat of primer. Afterward, I plan to mow grass. The grass is really tall due to all the rain. Our mower blades need to be replaced, but that is a project that will have to wait for now. Having dull blades means I have to mow over some spots twice to get the coarser grass cut.

Later this evening I will weed eat as much as the weed eater will allow. We have a Worx weed eater run by 2 interchangeable batteries. The batteries always run out of juice before the weed-eating is done because there is so much to weed eat on our place, especially now that we have the garden fence.

Anyway….it will be a full day of work. Hopefully tomorrow I can show you what was accomplished.

“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord.” 1 Corinthians 15:58 (NASB)

“And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men.” Colossians 3:23 (KJV)

“For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.” 2 Thessalonians 3:11

I definitely won’t have time to be a busybody today!
