My Friday post showed a weekend project that I wanted to complete.
I removed the Ivy which wasn’t attached with staples as I had originally thought but was attached with wire wrapped around the stems. Wire cutters made the job easy.
I got the idea to use hydrangeas as decorations on the birdcage from an internet picture sent to me by my daughter. The fake hydrangeas and tiny gold birds came from dollar stores. The tulle was found in my left over pile. The expense for this completed project was minimal due to use of cheap or free items.
I wound the flower stems between the wires to hold them in place, created a small bird’s nest inside with moss from the dollar store, and wrapped the cage with tulle.
This was a very easy project. It needed very little explanation for how to put it together, since “a picture is worth a thousand words.”
Isn’t it great when something beautiful can be easy to complete for a change?
